About
Joanna
JDworks was founded by Joanna Duchesne in 2020 to bring together a team of professionals providing a full range of audiovisual production services. For over 20 years, she ran video production units in NGOs and charities, and co-ran a socially minded film cooperative for seven years.
Joanna loves the creative alchemy making stories with others, to nurture talent, and to laugh a lot. She speaks French, Spanish, Polish and is trying to learning Russian.
Listening to and enabling others
As a child, Joanna was slightly deaf. Following an operation and therapy, her hearing became normal. This sparked a lifelong fascination with sounds and how people speak. She runs mindful classes to help others speak confidently and hosts a regular podcast. Her mindful approach can be found here.
